The site
A shaded Bulimba side space between a rendered wall and the boundary, used for storage and little else.
Our approach
A gravel field, a single feature boulder and restrained sculptural planting turn the space into an outlook from the living room rather than a leftover corridor.
Detail
Everything was chosen for shade tolerance and slow growth, so the composition holds its shape with only a light annual tidy.
