FAQs

Questions we're asked

Which plants suit Brisbane and the Redlands?

We favour subtropical and native species that handle humid summers and dry winters - lomandra, dianella, murraya, magnolia, palms and hardy natives - matched to your soil, aspect and how much upkeep you want.

How long until the garden looks established?

Most plantings fill in noticeably within one growing season. Where you want instant impact we can specify advanced stock and plant at closer spacing.

Do you improve the soil first?

Always. Brisbane clay and coastal sand both need work - we condition, drain and top up beds before anything goes in the ground.

Can you plant a privacy screen?

Yes. Fast screening for fence lines and neighbours' windows is one of our most requested jobs, using species selected for the final height you actually want.
