How Much Does Landscaping Cost in Brisbane?
Landscaping costs vary more than almost any other trade, because no two blocks are the same. Access, slope, soil, drainage and material choice can double or halve a figure for the same visual outcome. Here is how we think about pricing across Brisbane and the Redlands.

What actually drives the price
- Access - whether machinery can reach the work area or everything is barrowed by hand
- Slope and excavation - cut, fill, retaining and disposal of spoil
- Drainage - ag lines, falls and stormwater connections
- Materials - natural stone versus concrete, advanced plants versus tube stock
- Scope - a lawn replacement versus a full design-and-build
Typical budget tiers
Under $5,000 usually covers a focused job: turf replacement on a small yard, a mulch and bed refresh, or a maintenance reset.
$5,000 to $15,000 covers substantial single-element work - a new lawn with soil preparation, a paved courtyard, or a full planting scheme.
$15,000 to $30,000 is where design-and-build starts: paving plus retaining plus planting across a yard.
$30,000 and above generally means a whole-of-property transformation, staged over several weeks with multiple trades coordinated.
How to keep the budget honest
- Get the design resolved before the build starts - changes mid-build are the most expensive kind
- Ask for the scope in writing, item by item
- Agree what happens with spoil, green waste and site cleanup
- Stage the work if the full scope is beyond this year's budget
